MidiConfig'er - Intro

MidiConfig'er edits your midi config (DERRR)...

   Windows knows ONLY a short cryptic description from the midi device driver.

   MidiConfiger's main job is to
   - name devices and associate them with a particular TYPE of device.
   - pick the current input=>output control mapping

   A DeviceType tells PianoCheater
      what EXACT controls your input device has available for mapping
      and what EXACT set of sounds your output device can play.

   If you don't really care about specifics like that,
      just use the general_midi DeviceType.

   If you don't see YOUR DeviceType in the download list, then...

   PLEASE TELL STEVE SO HE CAN SET ONE UP FOR YOU !!

   Don't go through these docs to make your own.  It can be a pain...
   I don't know what kind of devices people have...
   But I =will= help you set one up.


   So you really DON'T need to read any of this except
      DeviceList and
      KeyCommandMap
