Repertoire - All the songs you know...

PianoCheater always rebuilds a list of songs for you to work on today
based on the last practice date and revisit parameter of songs in these dirs...

...\Song\ToLearn
    It all starts with "THAT SONG IS AWESOME - I NEEEED TO LEARN IT !!"...
    Stick em in a Song\ToLearn directory.  This pile can get huge.
    No point in seeing all that during daily practice.

...\Practice\Learn
    The songs you're actively working on every day.  Usually a couple of them.

...\Practice\Rep
    The songs you already know and want to keep FRESH.
    You'll practice these maybe weekly?
    Set revisit=7 for weekly, or maybe 3 if you need to keep it "fresher".

...\Practice\zDone                     (the z is so it sorts to the end:)
    These are DONE.  You've got a good recording of it and
    you don't need it in your brain.
    You've got nice fingering and dynamics notes in it so you can
    pick it up again some day with ease.

...TRASHCAN
    That song sucked after all.  No mercy!
    But if it's just too hard for now, stick it in zDone with no "done" date.


A song is NEVER done.
   A song continues to grow (with you) forEVER.
   You learn it, leave it, forget parts of it,
      come back to it, and learn it better and stronger.
   You find little places to add EVEN more "feeling".
   You notate the score with little memory helpers so you can get the
      score BACK into your brain years later in mere minutes.
   Losing NOTHING, then adding more to it...

   YOU RECORD IT IN MIDI FORMAT so you can toss the sheet music :)

   In your "song polishing", you
      seperate hands into different tracks via Tinkerer
      add fingering and dynamics notes via PianoCheater
      put in daily memos of what you worked on
      GET IT INTO MIDI FORMAT ;)


Song Stats:
   Get to here from the "Edit SongList" window (click on a practice song name):
   

   PianoCheater marks the days that you've practiced each song IN the midi file.
   And stamps it with a DONE date when you move it to Rep or zDone.
   You can edit here manually, too.
   And you can put daily notes in, too.

   This way, you have PROOF of how many days it took you to learn a song.


Rep Rep
   PianoCheater will make a cool repertoire report for you.
   You can look at that and go  "Hey!  NO LONGER do I suck at piano!".
