PianoCheater Tutorial - Goooal

Goooooooal !! - our goal with PianoCheater

Our goal is simply to become a REAL piano player and thus save the world !!
   (Have you listened to the radio?  The world really needs HELP!)
   And you KNOW you want a cool synth keyboard that'll hook to your computer :)

   But let's back up...
   You may not yet HAVE a synth hooked to your pc.

      
ASK YOUR DAD!!

      He'll get you one!!   I promise!!
      Dads hate for you to waste your time on computer games.
      They want you to learn some science and some art.
      And they know musical instruments are COOL.
      Dads -
         Hit GuitarCenter or somewhere similar.
         A decent keyboard is about $400 new, cheaper used.
         A midi interface is about $40 new.
         You probably already have an old laptop to stick near the piano.

Ok, as a piano player, you need some LEET SKILLZz:
   - find the notes to hit
   - find the best hand positioning and fingers to hit em with
   - figure out the rhythms those notes need to be hit within in time
   - figure out volume nuances within those rhythms (a particular "feel")
   - play with the expected tempo and rhythm a little
   - keep track of a ton of songs

   Hey, don't freak out on me now...  You CAN do it.  PianoCheater will help ya.
   Once you get your first song down, you WILL be hooked.
   You just gotta find an EASY song that you absolutely LOVE.
