acoustic versus digital

Which is better - an acoustic piano? or a digital piano?

That turns out to be a trick question, actually.
If you want the best of both worlds, you'll want to have both worlds...

This little argument has raged on since digitals came into existence I think.

The answer boils down to:
If you can afford it, get both.
If you can't, get a digital.
Unless you hate computers and have the bucks, then get ONLY an acoustic ??

Here's the breakdown...
   acoustic piano:
      - It sounds the best. Period.
metal coiled strings held taught by an
           iron frame across a
           wooden soundboard hit by
           carefully crafted hammers
is just gonna always sound better than
some wiggling plastic infused paper cones.

   digital piano (synth):
      - Cheaper.
      - Less space.
      - Headphones - your family/neighbors will be ANGRY if you don't use these.
      - Keyboard often has a more "even" feel to it.
      - Extra sounds including drums and other backing track sounds.
           Including "created" sounds:
sounds you've never heard till you decided to MAKE em.

Me, I want an acoustic some day. But I just can't justify it yet...:(
I love it when I happen across one, though!
In the mean time... Synths are cool !!
